Blogger image sizes

Not sure why Blogger did this?

I suspect Blogger is using CDN (Content Deilvery Network). You can no longer download or resize images.

Fret not, I am here to share with you how to resize your image. I am still investigating how to download the image.

You can on longer change the URL path to s0, s640, s800, s1024 to resize. Instead, you can append =s0, =s640, =s800, =s1024 (even odd size like =s1200) at the end of the URL to resize your images.

E.g.

Good thing though Blogger can display the original image in it's full glory.

Switch Back to Old Facebook

I was able to go back to the old profile layout WITHOUT DEACTIVATING my account. I discovered the technique accidentally. I did try to deactivate but a dialogue box appeared and it said my account cannot be deactivated because I was the only developer of my APP.

This APP was part of the steps when I switched to TIMELINE. I just deleted it and voila, I am now back to the old but easier on the eyes profile layout.

Adsense Font Problem

Recently plagued by quite a number of Blogger issues (see previous posts). Now, including this Adsense font problem on medium rectangle size ads, prompting me to start looking for alternatives like Wordpress or Tumblr.

The Adsense medium rectangle size ads 300x250 are displaying Times New Roman fonts. I tried to change the font in Blogger design | Blog Posts but it is not available.

Blogger New Post NOT Working

Blogger New Post NOT Working - Spinning Wheel!

Starting to lose faith in good old Blogger. Quite a number of issues met recently.

I cannot even create a new blogger post to help you resolve this issue!

I encountered I cannot create a new Blogger post & displaying a spinning wheel indefinitely.

JPG Save As BMP

This may be related if you want to save files from Internet for blogging.

Encountered this in the past which I can only save as untitled bmp format although it is jpg format & I did not bother. Usually, I overcame this by renaming file to JPG extension and it will still work. Only that the file size is HUGE.

Finally, found an answer for it.

Google Accounts

When you try to click on "My Account" link at the Blogger homepage, don't be surprised when you get this message when you are using IE7 and below:

"You are using an old browser version which Google accounts no longer supports. Some features may not work correctly. Please upgrade to a modern browser, such as Google Chrome."
